Get Your First 100 Subscribers Fast!
So many small YouTubers try to get their first 100 subscribers either through sub for sub or promoting your videos to people that just do not care it honestly never worked for them because usually,
They end up losing subscribers and just growing extremely slowly but today I'm going to share with you the five-step strategy that I implemented on my second channel to get over 100 subscribers in just one week.
So you can catapult your channel past the 100 subscriber mark, what's up everyone? My name is Ryan and on this blog, I help content creators leverage YouTube to build an online business and take control of their lives.
So in order to share with you my strategy properly, I was able to get over 100 subscribers now the reason this happened was because one of my videos just magically took off because that doesn't happen especially within the first week of you uploading a video that's extremely rare.
So since I already had a lot of past experience with this, and I knew how hard it was going to be to get my first 100 subscribers I knew I couldn't let the algorithm take its time.
So if I wanted this to happen, I had to make it happen in hustle and that's exactly what you're going to have to do as well.
Now one of my goals for this channel is to be completely transparent and honest with you guys in these steps might be really simple to comprehend.
But that does not mean is going to be easy. This is going to take a lot of work. But if you do this right, I guarantee you'll be able to get those first 100 subs in your first week. So the first thing I had to do was go and promote the hell out of my videos.
Step No. 1 (Target Audience/ Niche)
But before I just went out and promoted those videos I first which is step number one, I had to write down exactly who my target audience was and what niche I was in. If you get the wrong people that your videos or you just don't have a niche,
Then nobody's going to be inclined to subscribe to your channel because they have no idea what they're subscribing for. And you need to write this down.
This is something I want you to put on your wall or maybe your desk honestly I don't care where you put it. Just make sure you can see this every single day and you're constantly reminding yourself exactly who you're making videos for and what videos you make.
For your target audience. Don't just write down men from ages 18 to 25 because that's not going to get you anywhere I show you step by step how to set up your own niche in your target audience in this video right here,
But I'll put a link down in the description for that. So you can go watch that later. But the basics of this is that you really need to understand your target audiences stored what are they struggling with?
What are their pain points and even what is their end goal? What do they want? This is probably the most crucial step and I remember when I first got started on YouTube,
I never took any of this seriously. Whenever I saw a bigger YouTuber saying, hey, you need to write down who your target audience is and you need to have a nice day.
I just wrote him off because I thought it was a load of BS. But now looking back on this, this is crucial in the foundation of your channel.
If you just take the time to do this properly, I promise you, you will see the benefits of this extremely fast. Once I had this down.
Step No. 2 (10 Facebook Groups)
Then I moved on to step number two and I went to at least 10 different Facebook groups that had my specific target audience and about a week or two before I made any videos.
I commented on different posts. I engage with the community-made friends within the community and I made sure to write down all the different posts that were getting the most engagement within each individual Facebook group.
A lot of this is honestly just collecting data and research then I'd be testing of different topics within the post and seeing which ones a community reacted well to which ones didn't.
And I'd be doing this for at least 30 minutes to an hour every single day. So say I came up with different video ideas and topics before going and putting all these hours into making that certain video I would go into these Facebook groups and I would test out different posts on these topics and see which ones people liked the most and which ones people bid. Also,
A lot of the topic ideas that I came up with came from Google Trends because that's just a great place to find out what is trending within your niche and you can even go in there and compare different topics to one another and see which one is getting more traction than the other,
Step No. 3 (Proven Video Topics)
Step number three I take these video topics and ideas that I knew was working within the communities and I made videos out of them.
Of course, you could just take these ideas and then make a half-assed video you have to make sure that your content is really good if you understand what your audience's pain points are or the result they're trying to get.
Then you can make a great title and thumbnail that work together. If your content isn't clicked worthy, then it doesn't matter how many Facebook groups you go in and promote your video to nobody's going to click and nobody's gonna watch, for example,
One of my most recent videos called five free ways to promote your new YouTube channel to guarantee views well the title and thumbnail worked really well together because I understood exactly what my audience's struggles and pain points are in my click-through rate back set up because it's extremely high.
Just breaking down the title though you know the first part I say five freeways. This isn't something that I just put in there because I thought it was flashy instead.
I was really intentional about this because I know that a lot of small YouTubers don't have a lot of money to put their channels because I've been in that boat before.
So by saying that these are going to be free ways to do this. This is something that's going to be saving my audience money and there's a lot of value in that and I basically say who this video is for just by emphasizing a new YouTube channel in this title.
That's basically saying that anybody with a brand new YouTube channel or a small YouTube channel, this video is for you then the last part of my title is the reward that viewers is going to get from watching the entire video and that is Guaranteed Views.
That's something that my audience all small YouTubers really struggle with that is one of their biggest pain points, that they just want to get views on their videos and they want to know how to do it.
Now looking at the thumbnail as well don't just repeat what the title is saying instead of backs up the title because I give evidence of the amount of use that I got in one video just by using the strategy,
I as well a close up my shocked face so that I can really create intrigue in emotion within the viewer while they're just scrolling through and seeing which video they want to watch.
This is the thumbnail that is going to stand out amongst the crowd. Also, they didn't have the title at all.
You could look at this thumbnail and easily understand exactly what the video is about because the YouTube logo and I said free promotion and this is something that you really want to get across with your thumbnail.
This is when a title and a thumbnail are really backing each other up and they're working well together.
And my Facebook group Small YouTubers Boost Group that I got a lot of engagement on this post over 667 comments and then when I look at the views on the video now has over 1400 views in recently most of the traffic isn't coming from external anymore.
It's not coming from that Facebook group. Now it's getting picked up in YouTube search where it's just bringing more traffic than YouTube.
It's just analyzing all that traffic and seeing which traffic sources are best to promote this video in. Of course, my goal isn't to get you to search for my video.
I want something more like browse features are a suggested video. But that takes a lot more time. But even if you just compare this to my other videos, this outperformed my other videos by a ton of views.
Most of my videos get about 40 to 50 views on average when you're first starting out it's really about getting the initial momentum on your channel and the views that you're going to get are going to be a lot more valuable than the subscribers mainly because you have to give YouTube enough data to analyze your video and then find out who the right viewer is for that video. Also,
You're giving yourself data because then you can improve your content by looking at your average view duration or even your click-through rate,
Now I do want to let you know that not a lot of people are going to be subscribing to your channel right off the bat mainly because the viewers that are coming to your channel,
They don't know like and trust you yet you just don't have enough content on your channel yet but don't worry that all will come in time and honestly this is the main reason why you need multiple Facebook groups to drive traffic to your channel because you're going to have to get a lot of traffic to your channel in order to get those 100 subscribers in just one week. Uh, once I made my first couple of videos and they went live,
Step No. 4 (Ask Admins Permission)
Then I implemented step number four and I asked the admins of these groups if I can go and promote my video within their group you want the admins on your side because a lot of them will immediately delete your video and venue from the group if you just go and post your video in there and honestly they should do that because it's their group, not yours.
There's honestly a balance to this because you don't want to spam anyone. However, you have to get your name out there and you do have to promote your videos a lot. Not only Facebook groups out Oh,
Step No. 5 (Comment On Similar Channels)
Step number five Do you want to go to channels that are similar to yours within your niche and comment on their videos. There are two options with this as well.
Because of that the first option you can go to the YouTube search bar and then you want to type in your channel top after that you want to hit filter and then choose uploading you can see a bunch of videos pop up that literally have just been uploaded.
It's all around the exact same topic that you are making videos about obviously don't go into these comment sections and just say hey comes for me.
I'm a small YouTuber too because that's basically just sup for something and we don't want to do that and I don't care how big their channel is.
You can go in there and watch their entire video and then just comment on their video as well saying something positive that relates to the topic that they were talking about within the video.
But the other way to do this it's going to result in a lot more views and a lot more subscribers is going into bigger channels and immediately when they upload a brand new video you want to go in and watch that entire video.
And then after you watch it you want to comment on something that is relating to that topic that they were just talking about.
And the reason you want it to relate to the topic is one you want to get noticed by not only that content creator but everybody else within the comment section because if you just go in there and say great video you're not going to stand out at all it's just going to be another generic comment that's going to get lost in the mix.
And of course, after this, you want to go in there and interact with other commenters and go in maybe answer some questions any way you can help out when I first got started.
I never did any of this stuff instead. I just uploaded videos all the time and really grinded it out given that the videos I was making work really difficult to make because there are crappy reaction videos.
But honestly, that's because I put limitations on myself and I thought those are the only videos that I was capable of making.
I always thought there was no way I could go and make any other type of content because I just don't have that talent but I was wrong and I probably would have gotten 100 subscribers a lot faster than what I did. And I know that you're doubting yourself right now as well.
And you're thinking yourself, well, these are all great strategies, but I don't think I'm going to be able to actually implement these and get those first 100 subscribers within a week. But let me put this in perspective as well, when I was making those really crappy reaction videos,
I was still able to get over 150 subscribers within one month and that is with zero promotion most of the time it really just comes down to the effort that you're willing to put into this thing after you get your first 100 subscribers though,
I know you're gonna want to get even more views and even more subscribers and that's exactly so you can check on this site right now.I thank you very much for spend time with you own blog and I'll see you in the next blog.
